Scope cap / cover preference

My favorite are the Leupold alumina ones. Since I no longer have Leupold scopes, the Butler Creeks are what I use.

Haven't used scope caps in years. I would rather use covers which gives the scope more overall protection than just the lens.

The Vortex Defender caps are excellent. Been using them for years. Always have caps on to protect the glass when not in use.

I prefer the rubber type that come with the NF scopes. I dummy chord them. Keeps the moisture out.

I've been using the Vortex Defenders as well. Much more reliable than the Butler Creek I've owned in the past.

I have not used the vortex defender mounts, however I have used tenebrex, butler creek, Homemade 3d printed ones, leupold alumina and AAD mount. AAD are my favorite however, I've broken all the different brands, especially a pile of butler creek ones. But at $8-10 a piece i usually just buy a new butler creek one...In fact that reminds me I need to send my tenebrex and AAD in for warranty. 😂. I usually run both a flip cover and a neoprene cover.
