Sako bolt face

Can a standard Sako bolt face be opened up to a mag bolt face? Does anyone know of any good Sako gunsmiths.

Which model Sako? I don't think you can do anything to the 85.

I don't know I just requested a pic from him. I really don't know anything about Sakos I was hoping they were like 700's

The older model sako's were similar to the 700 both 2 lug bolts. The 85 is a 3 lug and the bolt has been reduced in weight so modification of the bolt face would not be to practical.

That said the 3 lug bolt of the 85 is as smooth as any rifle I have owned Including a cooper 3 lug.

It is a 3 lug i remember that and it was smooth as silk.
