Having written about several 6.5 Creedmoors, I agree it is a great caliber but to me so is the .260 and it is not a proprietary round. If another ammunition company comes out with the Creedmoor, then I would think it was here to stay. Ruger did come out this year with the Ruger #1V in 6.5-284. Expect an article on this rifle here soon. Len has the article. Like the Creedmoor #1V, it is a tack driver. I plan on hunting with it this deer season. When asked how long it would be available, I was told by Ruger that it all depends on sales. So if you want one in 6.5-284 Ruger#1V you better buy the first one you see. Ask your dealer to stock them will work also.
