I'm getting a Savage 110 FCP-K. I'm putting an EGW one piece 20 MOA picatinny base, and a Vortex 8x32x50 scope on it. The question is do I need high or extra high rings. I was going to use the Burris tactical 30mm rings.

Lows unless you want to stand on your buddies back to look thru your scope.
EGW bases are tall to begin with.
I've tried medium Burris Tact. Rings and they are still too high for my 50mm scopes.
Low's will fit the best.

Use the lowest ones that will fit. Go to a real gun shop and they'll let you try diff heights before you buy. I have had and used one piece Redfield base with a few thou shaved off the front of it( gives more up elevation) with the Redfield rings. All that Redfield style stuff is now made ( or marketed by [BIG difference] ) Leupold, as Redfield polluted south Denver then went broke. But their rings and one piece bases are still the way to go.
