Ring height suggestions

Gonna be mounting a Leupold VX5HD 3-15x44 on a Remington 700 with 20 MOA pic rail with a medium Palma profile barrel. Looking for suggestions or if anyone has a similar setup that can provide the best ring height option to keep the glass as close to the receiver as possible. Really don't want to buy several height ring sets and have to deal with sending back etc. Thanks in advance

Picatinny or something like the Talley Lightweight mounts?

Stack up quarters under the scope until you find a comfortable height, measure the stack, add half the tube diameter, and buy rings close to that height.
