Hey guys fast question. If you rebarrel a gun and are basically using the same barrel countour as your old barrel can you reuse the muzzle break you had on the old barrel and put it on the new one? Are there things to check before doing so is there a strong reason to not do it. Just wondering from those who have tried or know not to if that is the case. Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks
Don

the main thing is concentricity matchup. if everything is concentric, it will work fine. we're assuming same caliber. the clearance hole on most is about .020 over bullet diameter. if it's not lined up you could have the bullet actually hitting the edge of the hole. not good. even if it's not lined up real well, a redrill of the hole will actually fix this scenario. not the kind of fix you'll see on bench guns but will work fine on hunting guns.
