Hey guys, finally found some large rifle magnum primers in my neck of the woods.

I have no experience with Remington brand 9.5 magnum primers … I'm sure they go bang which is good enough for me, my question is

Would those who have used both say they're hotter or milder than a federal 215, which had always been my preference, and just broadly speaking is there anything I need to know?

According to my testing using the Pressure Trace, primer heat, and therefore case pressurising, it goes like this:
Magnum primers:
Winchester
Federal
CCI
Remington
Standard primers:
Winchester
Federal
CCI
Remington

Remington were the least 'zesty' of all primers tested. They give very uniform results, my only issue with them is in small rifle, many, both standard and magnum would pierce in my 22-250AI due to the cups being thin I guess.

Cheers.

I have been using Rem 9 1/2 Mag primers in LR applications such as .270 Win and have definitely been pleased with ES SD and accuracy. As chart shows bottom of msg but still slightly higher brisance than Fed 210's. I was low on 210's and just bought 3K 9 1/2Mag.
