I picked up a Remington Model 12 in a trade with some other stuff and I was trying to find out when it was built, the serial number is 796169 any help would be appreciated. Thanksgun)

You wouldn't, by any chance, know where a rear sight could be found, would you. Any help locating one, would be greatly appreciated.

i also have a model 12 that i inherited from my grandpa, was actually the first gun i ever shot. if i remember correctly , the remington web sight has a link for decoding the serial #s
