Yeah I had this one timed a couple years back, so I understand where you're coming from. I may be able to get a new .300 WinMag SPS for about $250, just swap the barrel and maybe re-bed into my stock.
I also have a .300 RUM barrel, may turn it into a switch barrel. May get lucky and the factory barrel is decent.
