I load for my 7mm08 in rem 700 with a 24 inch barrel. I have a great load for this rifle using 140 sgk with 40.5 grains of varget. I recently bought some sierra 100 gr hollow points and put 44 grains of imr 4064 under them which is 2 grains below max load in the sierra loading manual, which should put me in the neighborhood of 3200 fps. I shot 5 shots at 2560 fps. this is 100 fps slower then my 140 grain loads! Any Ideas?
