Reloading for a 125 year old Winchester 1894 in 30-WCF

20gr of Accurate Arms 5744 with a 170gr lead cast or jacketed bullet, same with a 150gr bullet as well, 5744 was designed as a low pressure powder that duplicates BP pressures, its not position sensitive either. With both bullets you should still be in that 1800-1850fps range. Its a little dirty but it shoots well.
a min load of 19.8gr w/ a 170 LC no pressures given
a Max load of 22gr w/ a 170gr LC bullet is still only 32800PSI.

have fun.......

The best information on reduced loads and cast bullet loads is go to a Lyman Reloading Manual or Lyman's Cast Bullet Manual. I have both books. I cast and shoot .270, .308 and .338 bullets in some of my rifles.
IMR 4198 is one powder that Lyman has a lot of information on reduced loads and cast bullet loads.
