I would think that any reloading manual on the planet would have a load for H-4831 and the 300 Win Mag. Purchase a manual and read it, there is much to be learned from them. Hope that helps. Good luck and welcome to the best forum on the net.

Welcome! Hodgdon's website list H4831 but not SC and a 175gn bullet but not a 178gn. Overall cartridge length is 3.300".

    Starting load is 72.0gn @ 2,843fps (46,600 CUP), Max load is 76.5gn's @ 3,006fps (53,100 CUP). This data is with a 24" barrel.

Hodgdon -IMR , Same company , has a reloading magazine printed every year , all supply stores on line carry them , they normally run between $5-$10 dollars ( Midway , Midsouth , Brownells , Powder valley) and many more will carry them . Just order one when you order reloading supplies , Hodgdon probably has loads for 300WM on line as do many others.

What do you do when they list 175 or 180 rounds but not 178grn. Just a thought.

I always load to the heavier bullet for safety sake . If you load any monolithic bullet ALWAYS take about 5 grains off lowest printed load and work up !!

Harry, sedan cowboy has given you some great advice here. I see there are a couple of gun stores in Oshawa and a Cabalas store in Vaughan. Cabalas appear to have the Hornady, Lyman and Nosler manuals plus others. Any of the named three will give you a lot of very valuable info that you can refer back to in the future. The main aim of reloading is to make more accurate ammo safely and the more you know the safer you will be. Good luck and warm barrels.

When I started out I did not have a clue on reloading. I purchased several reloading manuals and read them completely. Lyman, Sierra, Hornady were all read before I even purchased any equipment.
You will love reloading your own cartridges. BE PATIENT! Take your time and be focused on the reloading. No TV, tablet or someone talking to you.
    Most important, ENJOY.
