Rebarreling Kimber, heavier contour

I have a kimber .308 84m montana that i want to rebarrel in a heavier contour. Hoping for a #4.

I called Kimber today to see if they knew the heaviest contour that the stock could hold. They said they know what it is but they won't tell me...

So that brings me to ask if anyone else here has done this before? I've talked to a couple smiths and they use the word "maybe" and 'probably' a lot which worries me. i don't want to wait 6 months for a barrel and find out it doesn't fit.

So, anyone thats done this before or have insight of someone who could point me in the right direction?

I wasn't sure how thick the for end needed to be to keep rigidity and to not flex and vibrate off the barrel.
