This may be a stupid question but here it goes anyway. Can a stock inletted for a Remington 700 be altered to accept a howa 1500 action? I've got a Howa I'm wanting to rebuild and I'm just not finding a stock I like. Wanting something that is good for positional as well as prone while giving me a good solid cheek weld.
