question ring height S&K on 8400

I am awaiting delivery of my Kimber 8400 Montana in 270 wsm. I'll be mounting a Leupold 2.5-8x36, and at this point am most interested in the S&K skulptured base and their V1B low rings. Looks smooth, clean, and light. The Leu scope isn't very long, and the objective is pretty tapered, leaving only 5.1" of straight tube mounting space. I'm wondering if anybody has a picture of this setup; wondering if the objective has good clearance at the barrel and eyepiece clearance at bolt; and wondering if folk every use a medium instead of low for better eye alignment. any input much appreciated. The S&Ks are quite an investment to get in and then find out that I need a different height.
