Should be heading down from NY few weeks for a hog hunt. Will be on private land, have a NYS Pistol Permit, I know it's not reciprocal. Will I be able to carry legally on private land while hunting?
Appreciate the help, thanks

I just read that Fl passed the "no permit needed" concealed carry law. The article said that non-residents could also carry without a permit providing that they legally possess the handgun.

Just read this info today.
Thank you, very good news indeed!
from what a friend told me July 1st for the CC to take effect

I live here and if you are on private you can carry however you want. We did pass the permit less carry but it doesn't go into effect until July 1, 2023. Little known fact is you can open carry a pistol if you are in the act of fishing, hunting, but don't try that if you are not truly in the act of hunting or fishing. And that doesn't apply to all public lands or waters. But you are good on private so no worries.
