I've long wondered if somebody would revive the gain-twist concept. This one is going to be fun to follow. As soon as they start doing regular steel hunting barrels in the calibers I like, I'm in.

I was told by Proof that .277 steel barrels will be available late this year or early 2027. They don't even have a part number issued for them yet.

If the barrel life improvement is true along with accuracy claims over the life of the barrel this will change the game for over bore cartridge shooters as well as every sport that demands high round count competition.
