Hey guys , I am a new member been reloading various guns for 20+ years. I had a custom barrel installed on a savage action back in august . I have a 28 in usable barrel I have worked up some loads like 140 grain vld bergers with 64 grains of re 22 and 66 .5 grains of re 25 and a load of 168 vld berger and 66 grains of re 25, both real accurate one holers on my good days but have cratered primers and have even a couple grains before now. I messed with o a l and my groups got bigger I'm at .01 of the lands My question is shouldn't this length of barrel take a little more powder before showing signs of pressure?
