Powders. Saw this today

Lynchburg VA gunshow this weekend. My plastic was screaming. There were 2 powder vendors there with decent prices. No gouging. There were even 8#ers of a good number of desirable powders (there was 1 RL26 left at 4PM) & 1#ers of almost everything. No H4350, Varget, or H1000 to be found. I just missed the last of the H4350 at the one table so apparently it is being shipped from the factory. About any type of primer was also there at a decent price.

Hazmat isn't that expensive really, and there are often free shipping deals for Hazmat stuff. Shipping ends up being ~$20 total for powder/primers. Figure in what your time is worth plus driving costs (which are not insignificant)...

The gun shops that have powder and primers have to pay Haz-Mat, too. The amount of weight in primers and power has been reduced, so the cost increases. Also, wages are raising a bit. To keep good help the powder manufacturers are having to keep up to retain good employees. UPS/FedEx shipping costs have gone up , too,,,,, usually 4-5% a year. If you haven't noticed the cost of every day living have gone up, too. So the gun shop has to make profit to 'keep-up".
