These scopes came out a couple years ago. I dont see anything about them and I never see any recommendations for them. When I have looked thru them in the past, they were very clear and nice. What happened to them?

These are special production Pentax riflescopes with features very similar to the Burris Fullfield II 4.5-14x42mm Plex Riflescopes that retail for $611. These Pentax scopes were assembled in the Philippines to reduce cost and sold under the Pentax "Pioneer" label. Superb optics, solid and repeatable mechanisms... Sadly, they are being discontinued due to high production costs.

So what`s the best scope series pentax have, the look`s very similar to burris.
