Paramount Pro Accuracy Issue

Well I finally got out and shot my Paramount Pro today. Topped with a Leupold LRP 6.5-20x50, and Holland's bubble level. Bipod front and Bag on rear. Took 3 shots to get it sighted in, would have been 2 but I was so focused on the windage I didn't mess with the elevation, DUH lol.

I have a Titanium radial ported brake from Anarchy Outdoors. Pretty light at 1.45oz.

Shooting 285gr. ELR Powerbelts, 105Gr by weight BH209, CCI200 LRP

Started shooting for groups on the 4th shot out of this gun. 1st 2 groups with Brake on had fliers at about 4 O'Clock position. I was finding little pieces of the blue skirting all over, it sure appeared the skirting was contacting brake and blowing them out both sides. You can see some indentions in the brake from the inside. I'm not positive if they were there before or not but trying to figure out what's taking off the skirting. The picture shows some of the pieces found after 7 shots total. There was at least triple this after last shot with brake on. I cleaned barrel, took brake off, and fired a fouling shot.

Then shot for a group with brake off. 3rd group 1st 2 shots looked good, 3rd shot of group was lucky number 13 out of the gun lol and felt bipod slip as I squeezed it off and said #@#@#$$#@@# Lol. Decided I'd fire a 4th to redeem myself and was the worst shot. Now I guess this will work for hunting but I want to get this as accurate as possible.

Fired a 4th shot w/o brake to see it I could pull it together. Cleaned barrel before very first firings and between 2nd and 3rd group. Most shots felt very good and was on center dot when I squeezed them off. Without a brake and 105gr by weight it has A lot of recoil. Not sure if I'm not handling the recoil well and that's why groups aren't great?

I brought my Magnetospeed to chronograph speeds. Found out when on the barrel that my Battery was dead. Curious on Your guys' thoughts or tips? Shot some good groups with my other rifles in the .175"-.252" with a 6mm Creed, 7WSM, and 28Nosler. I'll get barrel cleaned well and see how it goes next time.

Does .496" opening in brake seem like enough for the skirting to clear? It doesn't appear to be. What would the appropriate opening need to be To use the Powerbelt ELR?

Get it in to a gunsmith and have him open it up to .600. Personally I think opening it up will add velocity as well. You'll lose the contact on the brake so accuracy and velocity will get better
