opening a 3030 bolt to magnum?

I found a win 54 in 30 wcf and want to use it as donor to make me another 338 edge or maybe a 7 rem mag. is it worth the trouble, I´ve had luck with winchesters 70 in custom jobs, but never in a win 54...

is it just opening the boltface to magnum? of course I would need to work on the magazine and feeding, but, does the 54 action is enough for magnums?

is it worth the trouble? I´ve always made my own custom jobs, so money and time are not important, but would apreciate if someone could share his history witht the customizing of a 54 action...

thanks
Joe from Mexico

thanks, from my point of view, the 54 action was never chambered for a high pressure caliber anyway. the rifle as it was given to me is worth nothing because the barrel is crooked at the muzzle end. but the action is pristine.

thanks again.
Joe
