6CM, 18" OMR tikka prefit initial impression: DANG

Was hesitant given a few reviews from years back on this manufacturer, decided to give it a shot and switch up from proof, etc

Barrel was torqued on two days ago, shot for the first time today. No break in procedure (gimmick), no cleanings, just visually bore sighted and sent rounds.

First group was a 3 shot string right under half an inch

Immediately moved down and shot 6, first round impacted to the left (settling in on new target) and the remaining 5 were absolutely stacked. Even with the flyer the six shot group measured right arounf a half inch. Maybe 20-30 seconds between shots and off the cheap Magpul bipod with factory ammo.

Was blown away to say the least given I got the barrel for around 700. Fit and finish is spot on with my proofs, threads were clean, wrap had no blemishes. Overall good QC. My lead time was longer than advertised but an anomaly due to the .243 blanks being in such hot demand at the time.

Chrono didn't make it with me but will capture speeds this week hopefully.
