Issue with the 300 & 340Bee brass I had was that the primer pockets were extremely tight to start with, and by the third firing they were so loose that for just one more firing, I had to use thicker CCI primers, then, the brass was done. Don't want that again.

Norma 300RUM brass is the same as Nosler 300RUM brass.

It is consistent, prepped well from the factory, but has soft heads. Mine last 4 firings of HOT loads. 230s @ 3113fps w. Retumbo.

My Remington brass lasted 8 firings with the same load.

Can you have people from the US ship you ADG brass? Or is there an import fee from a private individual?

If it gets inspected and discovered to contain brass without a permit, both parties get the wrath of the Aussie Gruberment.

I wouldn't ask anyone to risk that.

Permits used to be free, but now, talking with Peterson, they have to tack on $50USD to any order shipping OS for export permits, plus regular shipping, plus $25USD for admin fees. So $75USD just for the privilege of buying brass.

I can afford it, but the principle holds me back.
That Norma brass sale is $145AUD per 50, reduced from $185AUD per 50 cases…

I've had good success with 4x fired 300 rum Norma brass. I've always liked Norma brass not necessarily over adg or lapua but have had good luck with it. I have 7-8 firings on 7saum necked down to 6.5 saum brass and it's still going strong loaded hot! 5-6 loads on 25-06 loaded hot as well. If it's all you have available I wouldn't hold back.

i used Norma brass for a 25-06 couple of years ago and was glad to get it. Only thing else available was factory loaded Remington. That brass was crap. Only on the second firing but all good so far. I used Norma that was supposed to be ready to load about ten years ago, it was very good. I'd definitely use it over your other options.

Yes, I use Norma brass. From memory, I think about 9 loads is what I get. I don't load hot. I typically get my best accuracy and consistency at something less than max. loads.

I don't care for Remington, to much prep. and variation for me. Nosler has also work well for me.

Thanks, I have Norma brass in several cartridges, including 25-06, but my 300 and 340Bee brass, with Weatherby headstamp, just didn't hold up to 3 firings. Was done at the fourth and I wasn't running either hot. My Norma headstamped 257 and 270Bee brass is some of the best brass I've ever used, just won't die. I also have Norma 6.5-300Bee and it is very good brass too.
Just don't want a repeat of the other brass in 300/340.
My Norma 416 Rigby brass is formed into my Improved wildcat without issue, I have hydro forming dies for that and separate neck/shoulder swaging dies for the different calibers and shoulder angles. Once annealed, goes very smoothly.
