Nikon Black rangeX 4k

Looking to buy my Son a range finder under $500 for his B-day comming up.
Anyone have any experience with the Nikon black 4k?
Looking to reach at least 1000yrd more is better in this price range.
I have the sig 2000 and 2200 and my other Son has the Nikon 3000 stabilized.
Wondering if the 4k is any better.

bow, you probably haven't heard Nikon has reneged on their warranties. No more lifetime and no more free replacement. Perhaps consider a brand other than Nikon.

Check out the Vortex Razor HD 4000. Capable for soft targets out to 1600. Has one of the best warranties.

Havent heard about the Nikon renig. Good to know.
I have and am happy with my vortex binoculars and scope on my 7 RUM.
For some reason I thought their 4000 range finder was a lot higher price than 500.
I will take another look

Amazon has them for $499 right now.
