My 22-250 took quite a tumble out of a UTV ( a whole different story) and my NSX 5.5-22 X 50 was damaged. I got on the phone with Nightforce, sent them pictures while I was talking to them and got my RMA number for repair. I sent the scope in and got the typical; We have received your scope and our lead time is approximately 4 to 5 weeks. Since the scope did not have a zero stop I also wanted to have one installed.
About a week later I got a call informing me that my scope was repaired and to ensure that I wanted to install the zero stop. Naturally my reply was yes.
When all was said and done I had my scope back in hand in less than 3 weeks and to my suprise not only did I have a zero stop, I had high speed turrets and an illuminated reticle.
Now, I bought this scope second hand in 2009 and it has performed flawlessly until it was damaged. For the cost of a zero stop installation, my scope was repaired and updated to the current standards. I had to check the serial number to make sure I got my scope and not someone elses. I even called Nightforce to make sure I did not owe them any more money.
Well after all this rambling on, the folks at Nightforce were a pleasure to deal with and I received my scope well ahead of their estimated lead time. This is the first time I have ever sent something back to a manufacturer for repair and for the way I was treated and the timely manner that the repair and modifications were completed I have one great big THANK YOU to Nightforce. Its like I got a brand new scope back. As long as I am able my rifles will be donned with Nightforce products.gun)gun)gun)
