Now that i've got my average mv using a chronograph. I put it into my ppc software i don't have a kestrel yet so my question is should i leave the field conditions set as they are or would it be a little more accurate to get my local elevation were i'm shooting and program that only and leave everything else the same. Thanks jeremy

I use very simple rules to fill in the field conditions.

For temperature I check to see if water is frozen. If it is, then I enter a temperature less than 32 degrees. If it is not frozen, then I check how many shirts and coats I am wearing and enter a temperature that is consistent with that. T-shirt weather is about 75-80 degrees for me.

I take off my hat and look up in the sky and see if there is water on my glasses and if there is then I enter a humidity of 90%. If there isn't then I enter about 50%.

For barometric pressure I just let it calculate that based on altitude.
