i'm looking to upgrade my caldwell deadshot field pod to something more stable. i have extensively modified it to give smooth pan and tilt plus heated and bent the rifle supports to tightly cradle the stock and although its very portable the light frame has movement and limits long range to about 600yds. the new deadshot magnum looks good but at 13lbs its not light but the legs etc look much more stable and its full height capable. here in oz(flattest country in the world,and the prickliest) prone is not an option so after something sitting to standing height and preferably with a micro adjustable rear leg for height. i saw a long range test of different tripods/cradles on the net but can't find it .can anyone help? any recommendations with good and bad points would be very helpful. many thanks mike
