I owned 2 Mark 5HDs and own 3 VX5HDs. I did multiple low light tests and I simply didn't see the Mark 5HD having better low light performance than VX5 HDs. Actually my eyes saw the VX5 HD having slightly better low light than the Mark 5HD due to the larger FOV and more forgiving eye box. I sold my Mark 5 HDs. Amazing scopes but I prefer a SFP for a hunting scope and the features of the Mark 5HD was not going to be a big benefit over the VX5 HD for me.
