I am new to all the technical aspects of high end optics. so please excuse my NOOB questions.

I am looking at a NEW Bushnell Trophy15-45x50 @ 200$

Should I just hold out and get a Vortex used for say 350$

The adage you will hear on this forum is "buy once, cry once" which in your case means buy the best optics you can afford.

What's your intended you use for this scope? carry rifle? longrange rig?

If it's a carry-rifle, then spending a couple hundred is probably fine. If you're building a longrange rig, you will want to look more in the $800+ range.

the thing is that money is tight and a good enough spotting scope for glassing while hunting is what I need. Leupold vs Bushnell ect...
