Hey ya'll! I have to introduce myself so here it goes.

I live in the Midwest, Missouri to be exact but I'd rather be in Texas. I recently drank the kool-aid and now have an addiction to long range shooting. I've been an avid hunter for years (deer, squirrel, rabbit, turkey, elk, coyote). Rifles, bows, muzzle loader.

Recently did my first custom rifle.

Remington Model 7 chambered in .260- modified to a .260 ackley improved
20 in stock barrel with a 1:8 twist (upgrading to a new barrel this summer)
Jewell trigger (14 oz pull)
Vortex Diamondback 6-24x50mm with Leupold picatinny rail and Burris rings. (Finding mounts for the model 7 is tricky).

Working on load development.

Being new to this any help, tips, tricks, etc will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the rabbit-hole! I used to get around Missouri quite a bit when I was a kid. Maysville, MO to be exact. My Dad was a preacher there back then and I made some friends there during my summer visits and they effectively washed about 90% of the 'city-slicker' out of me. :D
