It's 24 1/4" long all of which is usable. I bought this barrel from McGowen a few months ago and have since ordered a longer Obermeyer for a 7mm-300wm build. The 10" twist will stabilize 160-168's. 200.00 shipped.

Sir,

I am interested in this barrel (assuming it is still available). Was this a pre-fit barrel or just a blank? Is it just a round tube with no fluting and no crown? Is there anything else about it I should know? Where in Idaho are you located?

It'S just a round blank without fluting or threading. The barrel is just the way it came from McGowen. It was a left over barrel from something and that isgun) probably why it is only 24.25" long. I'm in Boise. Yes I still have it.
