This year I have gotten a little more serious about long range hunting. I purchased an Armalite ar-30 in 338 LM, and put a Nightforce 8-32x56 on it. The only kills with it have been a prairy dog, and my back packing it around in the mountains. Hopefully that will change with 11 days left in hunting season.

Welcome, I've been lugging a boat around all season also and just have not had the shot I'm looking for in the place I'm looking for. Lucky we live where we do, our last couple weeks of season are longer than many states whole season. Good luck!!
