Guys I have the bug to build again ( well maybe just tinker),but not what I normally build , I am thinking of a Kimber select grade in a 7mm Rem mag .
Take barrelled action out, and throw out wooden stock ,and replace with a Montana stock painted black with red webbing.
Put a slim line break on barrel, have action squared and rails and ramp polished, and then powder coat Black then full length bed barrelled action in Montana stock.
I would put a slim shoes trigger set to 2 LBS on rifle , house outfit with light weight Tally rings ,and top it with a 4-16x44 vortex HS LR.
I think all said and done I would have a 7/34 7mag, and shoot 168/180 VLDS ,and if it shoots as well as my 280 AI it would be a great 6-700 yard rifle .
Guys do you have any thoughts or any input or has anyone owned or shot a Kimber select in a 7 Mag .
