new AR project 7mm-08

So Thanksgiving break is coming, I needed a project, I have a 308 and 260 AR, so I have decided to buy a Bartlien Blank and make a 22 -24 in barrel for my AR10(DPMS) and chamber it in 7mm-08
not sure why just never see them...I know R25 in a 20 inch is out there but I figure with a Premium barrel and slightly longer, it may be a winner

26 inch Shilein 1-9 twist CM Blank, I will parkerize it when finished.
barrel arrived



after many hours on the lather I cut it down to 22 inches

front of barrel is .845

I prepped it for blasting in the morning

fired test rounds today, everything worked great accuracy with the Honandy 139 SST sucked but function was perfect

and a 308 -20 inch I built for my wife


will cammo the 7mm08 hunting rifle the same as my woo K2

Thats gonna be a tac driver. 7mm08. Sweet. If your pocket can stand it you may want to get a OP4 side charger upper receiver. I use one on my .308 LR and compared to the stock upper and bolt lockup its a huge diffrence in accuracy. But they run 400-500$.
