I rescently ordered a Browning 300 win mag, and i am primarily going to shoot whitetail with it. I'm thinking im gonna stick with the 165's or possibly 180's in the accubond or possibly Siroccos. Any reccomendations? Load data? Thanks alot..

I run the 165 ABs with some H4831 in my 300 win and they do a number on Whitetails. I've stuck with the 165s because my 300 is a sporter weight rifle and not my long range rig. If you're going long, try the 180-200s.

I'd like to set it up for about 400yds and in. It's going
To be a 10lb rig, so I'm not concerned with recoil at all. If
I could find a flat shooting load with 180s that would be
Even better.

Try the 178gn A-Max ahead of 72.5gn of IMR 4831 and CCI 250 primer. This load printed .2995" in my rifle and trucks along at 3168fps. I haven't shot a whitetail with it yet. The last time I took it hunting a 80lb doe stepped out at 15 steps, I didn't have the heart!

Another good load; 180gn NBT/75.5gn RL22/CCI BR2. This prints sub 1/2" and cooks along at over 3100fps. This is book max but shows no excessive pressure signs in my rifle.

H4350 shot good in my rifle also. I tried the 165gn NBT. 72.0gn ran 3253fps and averaged .564". The 180gn BT averaged 3095fps and grouped in the .3's with 69.0gn's. I went up to 71.0gn with the 180 and velocity was 3154fps but groups went out to .7675".

Hope this helps. JohnnyK.

The top group in this pic is the first load mentioned above (178gn A-Max)
