Ok. I'm sick and blue in the face. I just picked up my new custom made rifle in 338 RUM. It's built on a Remington 700 long action. First I broke in the barrel per the maker and then proceeded to mount up the brand new Swarovski Z5 scope on Tally rings. The windage and elevation would neither adjust. The dials would turn just not adjust the reticle. So I took it back and exchanged it this morning. The new scope will adjust but it won't come left far enough to zero in. I've lapped and aligned the rings. Could the barrel be mounted wrong, receiver tapped wrong???? I've done both a chamber and end of barrel laser bore sight. What could be my problem? Thanks in advance. This will be my first custom, long range shooter.
