Fort Sandflat is the only manufacture that makes wood rifle stands that I am aware of. The one you have in the picture looks to me to be made for testing a pistol or ammo with the device to pull the trigger. I don't see a way to strap the gun solid for firing and if you were going to hand hold the gun why would you need to pull the trigger remotely. Also I am confused by the steel V shaped part at the bottom that would damage wood grips. I suspect that that was custom made for a specific purpose. Maybe a gun writer made it to test revolvers.
The V-shape part is plastic or plexiglass, the adjustable spring: is to rest against the side of the handgun for repeatable hold to help prevent cant.
