Need a little advise

I know this had been beat to death i bet
I am wanting to get into longer range shooting and have about 2300$ to spend and am really undecided on what to get , for the scope i was looking at the burris xtr and on the gun a savage 10 in 65 or 260. Just looking for a little advise .

For target I would look at a Ruger Precision 6.5 Creed with a SWFA 3-15.

+1. My Savage LRP that was won at an egg shoot, in 260Rem shoots bug holes. It easily stands with my full customs.
It consistently delivers sub .25MOA performance.

Ended up getting a savage 10 med heavy fluted barrel and a z5 BT instead of the xtr because I may want to hunt with it see why I can do with it
