my first bear

I got this guy back in october he ended up being 6'6" and qeighed in the neighborhood of 400#. I measured the skull at 19 1/2" I was bummed on that one. here is the skull and the hide. Ryan

Nice bear, don't sweat the skull. Even in an area with good genetics, breaking into the book may be the toughest there is. A lot of meat heads out there.

Like Carl said, don't worry about the skull. 19.5" is still really big!

I am gonna third this and say awesome bear. Cant go wrong on a 19.5" skull!

A 19.5" black bear is a Great trophy. Don't be bummed out. It's rare to find one bigger. Lots of fawns and calf's will thank you! !
