Not that I'm complaining, but... Can anyone tell me why my bow shoots broadheads better than field points? I shoot a 70lb Mathews DXT 28'' draw, and a 28'' Gold Tip XT Hunter with a 100gr G5 Montec and a FOB. I've suspected this for awhile, but I just put it to the test tonight. At 40 yards I can keep them in about 3 to 4 inches with field points, but with broadheads I can put them all in a 3 inch dot on my target. Like I say I've suspected this for awhile, but I always figured I just had better focus on a deer or even on the 3d target I use for broadhead practice. This year though, I picked up a broadhead target with dots on it, and saw for a fact they shoot better. I've heard a lot about field points shooting better for guys, but have never heard of broadheads shooting better. Anybody know what's up? As problems go, I admit this is a good one to have. I'd still like to know why though.
