Better odds if you book with an outfitter(not my fault)I was going to try for out of state Elk tag but it looked like it would cost around $1200 and who knows how long it would take to be drawn for it.

Yeah-Ranching for Wildlife no thanks. That's been a long concern of mine, starting back when the "shoulder season" was initiated. Back then when the Shoulder season was proposed and I had a chance to comment I told them no thanks and was very concerned where it'd lead...States like Arizona,and New Mexico you can buy land owner tags!$$$$
