Area 34. around 30 years in waiting. 18 yds. 45" tip to tip. probably my last one.
Buddy and I spent 3 nights in a tarp so we didn't have to walk in 2 hours to get to where the big boys were living.
Great hunt.

WE have one occasionally at my place. Mostly up the road about 8 miles. But getting a moose tag in Idaho is pretty difficult nowadays.

Wow, that's a very nice Bull. Spent the last two days looking for one myself. Any pointers on how to find them would be awesome

Congratulations on a nice bull. I love moose hunting too. But .....
Your hunt was a bit rugged for me. I'm spoiled and like creature comforts when I'm not actually hunting.

The bulls are high right now. Feed in the meadows, and live all day very high. Mine was above tree line.

At the end of, Sept into, late October try "moaning" like, a Cow Moose in Heat, to locate Bulls.
BUT, be Patient as, the older Bulls, are,.. slow movers and take a while to, show up !

BUT, be Patient as, the older Bulls, are,.. slow movers and take a while to, show up !
