Is it possilbe to buy just a new remington model 700 action to build a rifle on? Where can you get one and how much do they cost? Is this the cheapest way to get a new model 700 action or is it cheaper to just buy a model 700 ADL synthetic for 400 bucks and use the action out of it? Thanks.

A new 700 is $400 (retail) from Brownells. That is the nice blued model, not the matte finish found on the ADL at X-Mart.
