Mod 70 Stock?

I picked up a Model 70, 243 for my 12yo grandson. Looking to replace the stock with something lighter weight. I am big McMillian fan, but a 6 month lead time doesn't work for me.

Who's making a descent composite stock these days.

He is a big kid, so not looking for a youth stock, adult size will work fine.

Bansner and company stock would be a good option. This is the old High Tech stock with carbon fiber added.

Bell & Carlson makes a good stock based on the one I ordered.
They will even make you a custom lop for a few bucks more.
No options beyond that really. They need to offer flush cups. Also need to offer better colors.

By the SN. Rifle was made in 1970.

Rifle is in great shape, shoots pretty good so far with ammo I had from another 243.

Eventual goal is to rebarrel to 25 Souper.

I like the Boyds but they are wood. I like Bell and Carlson. you might want to check out Midwest gun works, they have so many stocks for model 70's you will find something composite that will make your grandson very happy.
