How do you guys go about measuring projectiles from the ogive and what tools do you use?
I have a hornady bullet comparator will this do the job or is there something specific to the task?

I have heared that you can get a gauge that fits your callipers just for measuring projectile length.

Thanks for the help

Andrew

I buy two Davidson nosepieces of same caliber from Sinclair, and mount them on caliper. This will measure bullet bearing lengths accurately.

I use the Hornday bullet comparator that attaches to your caliper. Different inserts for different caliber bullets. I'm pleased with it, but I haven't used anything else to compare it to.
