To take full advantage of the RUM with heavy high BC bullets, you need a mod to accept a near 4.00" COAL. Good luck!

So I would need to get the cip version of the chassis?
No, you do not need a chassis unless you want one, but you do need a magazine longer than the SAAMI spec to accommodate a longer COAL. Work closely with a reputable gunsmith for your options. For instance, https://wyattsoutdoor.com/.

You also need to double check the "actual" CIP mag comparability of the "actual MDT stock for your RUM.l you are considering.

If you're looking at the MDT chassis' then the CIP length is beneficial. I recently bought an ACC Elite in long action CIP for my 300 Win Mag. It gives me extra length available to load the 215 gr Hybrid .

Yeah I was just wondering if I should go cip length or not I'm probably gonna build my gun into a 28 nosler once I get the funds.

Is your R700 7 MM RUM due for a re-barrel?
