Magizine Feed problems

I have a Remington 700 7RM andthe magazine spring keeps popping up into the chamber (to where it will prevent the bolt from closing). It is really tight and I have to finagle it to get it pushed back down to it's rightful position. Once I get it down, I have to load the bullet by hand and hold down the spring while closin the bolt. When I eject the spring pops right back up again.
I didn't have this problem until I changed stocks. The factory walnut stock did not cause this problem.
Any ideas?

By any chance,did you forget to attach the follower to the spring when you changed stocks.

+1 on ck spring/follower install. Don't know what type/brand stock you replaced original with, but I would recheck the mag well fit.

Thanks, guys...I took it apart and saw that they box was misaligned. duh. Thanks for your help.
