So let's try to keep these aids as light as possible.

1. RANGEFINDERS-> either monocular or binocular. Should have at least integral angle compensation sensor/software if not other sensors and a ballistic engine.
2. COMPATABLE SCOPE RETICLES-> The reticle should have hashmarks - either MOA or mil - to work with the rangefinder. Duplex reticle? Leave the rangefinder at home.
3. CARTRIDGES CAPABLE OF 800+ YARD EFFECTIVENESS-> Are we talking about long range hunting or not?
4. ACCURATE RIFLES-> Did your new LR rifle not give you at least MOA accuracy? Send it back.
5. SHOOTING STICKS/PACK REST-> Some type of steady rest is necessary, period. I eschew tripods, even carbon fiber ones, as much too heavy for mountain hunting but "OK" for plains hunting - if your guide/gun bearer will carry it.
6. REGULARLY VISITING LRH MAGAZINE-> Self-explanatory

Any others you find truly helpful?
I omitted spotting scopes in lieu of binoculars to save weight. Your mileage may vary on this topic.
And bipods? Extra weight if you have shooting sticks.
