Looking for help with subsonic .308 load data

150gr Maker Bullet
Tite group
20" 308 Win
6gr 1229 FPS
5.5gr 1172 FPS
5gr 1105 FPS
4.8gr was about 1050 avg but ES was ALOT!

Years ago you could get cartridge conversions/adapters that would shoot 32 ACPs in 308 chambered rifles.
Samereier

This is a german professional reloader who developed cases with reduced volume. A 308 Win equals a. 30 Carbine case in volume.
Load data are available on the site, often including subsonic loads (< 330 m/s).
Maybe this is an alternative to the mentioned conversions.
I don't know, if he exports to other countries.

Thank you. Most likely it's all the empty space with the 150's.. what was your OAL?
For subs you should be below 1050 mark.
I will have to look in my book. This info was on my phone from the range. Settled on the 4.8gr, loaded them up, sat in a tree, and never pulled the trigger, so no idea how they would work on short range deer.

I've switched to Tite Group since Trailboss is not available any longer. It's given me equal performance for the past few years.
My brother has been trying it in a 11 twist sake with the 175 and 190 subX with dismal results. Es has been pretty high and accuracy is non existent.

I would think the 11 twist would at least stabilize the 175. I shot 180's through a 20" 12 twist LTR.

The stability is crap I bet, key holing like crazy. You need a 1/7 twist to really run subs for any good results. 190-220 class bullets are the best options to running a sub. 300BO subs aren't running much under 190gr pills.

You need the fast twist to stabilize, then you add in the loss in velocity your brother won't get results no matter what

I told him it was most likely the twist rate getting him.

It's strange though, My 700 LTR, factory 12 twist, grouped 180's around an inch at 100 yards using trailboss. That barrel is long gone now. Replaced with a 9 twist lilja.

That's because you can't fill the case volume and why I asked my previous question. Without a bulky powder like trailboss, .308 Win is a sucky vessel for shooting subs.
